Statement of Impartiality (ISO 15189:2022 – Clause 4.1)

The laboratory is committed to maintaining impartiality, independence, and integrity in all its testing activities and in the reporting of examination results.

  • All laboratory personnel are required to act objectively and without bias in performing tests, validating results, and issuing reports.
  • The laboratory ensures that commercial, financial, or other pressures do not influence test processes or the interpretation and release of results.
  • Policies and procedures are established to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks to impartiality on an ongoing basis.
  • Staff are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest, and appropriate actions are taken to eliminate or minimize such risks.
  • The laboratory ensures that testing and reporting activities are performed independently, free from undue influence from internal or external parties, including referring clinicians, patients, or management.
  • Decisions regarding the validity, authorization, and release of results are based solely on objective evidence, established methods, and professional judgment.
  • The laboratory management demonstrates commitment to impartiality by ensuring that the organizational structure, resource allocation, and assigned responsibilities support unbiased operations.
  • Confidentiality and impartiality are upheld throughout the entire testing process, from sample receipt to result reporting.

The laboratory continually monitors compliance with this statement and takes corrective actions whenever any risk to impartiality is identified, ensuring confidence in the accuracy, reliability, and credibility of all reported results.
